University of Leeds in collaboration with B.Braun Medical are pleased to announce the launch of the NHS TSET Aseptic Processing Training.
In support of this programme, we are offering a one-day training event, aimed at pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants and other staff new to aseptics. The Aseptic Processing training aims to support delegates in understanding their role in the aseptic preparation of products, which are fit for their intended purpose, and in reducing the risk of harm to patients.
Delegates will all receive a personal copy of the new training manual along with an interactive CDRom. The training covers the principles of aseptic processing and also includes information specific to the particular areas of preparation; Central Intravenous Additive Services (CIVAS), Parenteral Nutrition (PN) and Cytotoxic Chemotherapy (Cytos).
This resource can be used as a standalone training programme or as the knowledge component for NVQ Pharmacy Services (Level 2 and 3) or City and Guilds Process technology (Level 2).
